Union Tattoo

Union Tattoo is a modern tattoo parlour with old school charm in Wellington, New Zealand, operating out of one of the city's oldest historic buildings since it opened its doors in 2015. The studio's experienced artists cater to both walk-in tattoos and custom work, with thousands of hand-drawn flash designs available to browse alongside the option to bring in personal ideas. The team specializes in custom one-off tattoos by appointment while also welcoming walk-ins, first-timers, and returning clients alike, treating every design as individual and important.

The resident lineup includes artists working across dark illustrative "less is more" designs, colourful mystical and nature-inspired pieces, and handpoke tattooing, with guest artists regularly visiting from around New Zealand and the world. Artists are encouraged to travel and continue learning to stay at the forefront of modern tattooing. The shop aims to be a safe, friendly, and comfortable space regardless of gender, ethnicity, or sexuality, and rounds out the experience with locally roasted coffee, craft beer, and local chocolates for visitors.
