Jackson Street Tattoo sits in the heart of Petone's iconic Jackson Street in Wellington, New Zealand, and has been described as the capital's brightest tattoo studio. The shop was established in June 2010 by Brent, a Wellington-born and raised artist who began tattooing in 1998 and spent six years honing his craft in the Capital before heading overseas in 2004. He went on to work internationally across Australia, the UK, and Europe, including three years at the well-known London studio Evil from the Needle, along with guest spots in Germany and Holland.

Brent also worked at numerous international tattoo conventions in cities such as London, Berlin, Krakow, Amsterdam, Paris, Wales, and Sydney, as well as conventions across New Zealand, before returning home in early 2010 to open the studio. His work carries a strong passion for Maori and Pacific style tattoos, and he specialises in free-hand custom design while remaining confident across most other tattoo styles. Customers with an idea or reference picture they'd like developed into a custom piece are welcome to call ahead or simply drop into the shop.
