tag.tattoo TOKYO INK is a tattoo studio located in Tokyo's Kitasenju area, specializing in original, creatively interpreted Japanese-style tattooing (wa-bori) alongside color work, black and gray, one-point tattoos, and cover-ups. Designs are developed directly with the artist through close consultation, resulting in one-of-a-kind pieces grounded in the history and imagery behind traditional Japanese tattoo motifs rather than trend-driven or misinterpreted versions often seen online. Drawing on more than twenty years of experience across various art fields, the studio pays close attention to balance, placement, and long-term suitability of a design so clients don't have regrets after the tattoo is done.

The studio was awarded Best Sleeve at the KING OF TATTOO 2022 contest, one of Japan's largest tattoo events. Hygiene is treated with the same rigor as a medical setting, with instruments sterilized and stored appropriately and all skin-contact items, including needles and razors, single-use. Clients must be at least 20 years old, and first-time visitors are asked to come in for an initial consultation. Custom artwork is designed exclusively for each client and kept confidential until the day of the session.
