Dragons Lair Tattoo is a professional studio rooted in the craft and culture of tattooing, offering clients a focused, welcoming environment where the art comes first. The shop's bold name sets the tone for the work done inside — expect a strong command of Japanese tattooing, with its rich iconography and flowing composition, alongside traditional American styles that honor the deep history of the craft. Blackwork also finds a natural home here, from striking geometric patterns to illustrative designs with real visual weight. Clients can expect thoughtful consultation and skilled execution from artists who take their work seriously.
Oakland is a city with an identity all its own — gritty, creative, and fiercely independent, a place where art and self-expression run through the culture at every level. That energy shapes the clientele who walk through the door: people with a genuine appreciation for bold, meaningful work. Getting tattooed here feels like a natural extension of the city itself — authentic, unpretentious, and alive.
