Frisco Tattoo has served San Francisco's Mission District since 1995, making it the neighborhood's oldest tattoo shop. The studio is run by Bay Area native Jonah Levin, who tattoos full time on-site. With two locations in the Mission, the shop maintains a small, dedicated crew of artists committed to the craft of tattooing, working across a wide range of styles including fine line black and grey, traditional ("old school"), blackwork, realism, lettering, Japanese, and Polynesian designs. The mission is simple: create timeless tattoos in a clean, welcoming environment.
Walk-ins are always welcome, and clients are encouraged to stop by in person or call ahead to check artist availability. Doors are open every day from 12 to 8 PM, making it easy to drop in throughout the week. Beyond tattooing, the shop provides detailed aftercare guidance to help clients protect their new work, covering everything from bandage removal and washing to sun exposure and moisturizing. This combination of deep-rooted history, stylistic range, and daily accessibility has helped the studio remain a fixture of San Francisco's tattoo culture for decades.
