Bluebird Tattoo

Bluebird Tattoo is a Kyoto studio located in the Gojo Rakuen area, specializing in traditional Japanese motifs rendered in vivid, contemporary color. The work centers on flower-and-bird imagery (kachōga) along with animals and plants, with an emphasis on soft texture and bold, saturated color work. The studio operates by appointment only and offers bilingual service in Japanese and English, making it accessible to both local and international clients seeking Japanese-style tattooing in a dedicated, focused setting.

The studio's tattooer, known as TK, began tattooing self-taught after moving to Melbourne in his early twenties. He went on to work professionally at the established Montreal studio Studio Tattoo Mania, then returned to Japan to further develop his craft and personal style at W-OKI Tattoo in Okinawa. Drawing on experience gained across both overseas and Japanese tattoo cultures, he eventually returned to his hometown roots and opened Bluebird in Kyoto's Gojo Rakuen district, where his work continues to draw on traditional Japanese aesthetics reinterpreted through color and detail.
