RAW Tattoo

RAW Tattoo is based in Bolton, run by artist and owner Arron Raw since 2011, whose home is Kearsley near Bolton. The studio's work centers exclusively on dark black & grey realism, a style that has taken Arron to conventions and guest spots around the world every year. Before tattooing, Arron trained as a traditional sign-writer and ran his own sign-writing and graphic design business, a background in commercial art that continues to inform his custom, hand-drawn approach today. The studio is proudly supported by his family and works with respected industry suppliers including Bishop Tattoo Supply, Quantum Tattoo Ink, Sullen Art Collective and Killer Ink Tattoo.

Bookings are handled through an email consultation process, with sessions typically running as full-day sittings and clients offered free rein, custom idea, or cover-up options. Most clients opt for the free rein route, giving Arron full artistic licence to create an original piece rather than replicate existing designs. Larger projects such as full sleeves, backs and legs are planned across multiple full-day sessions with recovery time built in between. Convention and travel dates are reserved for free rein pieces completed over two to three day sittings, and all work is strictly for clients aged 18 and over.
