Shady Lady Tattoo Parlour is a queer woman owned tattoo studio in Montpelier, Vermont, started out of pocket in 2006 by Meredith Muse. Soon after opening, Meredith began running an apprenticeship training program, and the studio has often had other tattooists working under her tutelage. The parlour is now located within H.E.A.L. (Heart Energy Arts Lab) at 90 Main Street in downtown Montpelier, sharing its space with sister studio Sacred Vessel Tattoo after both businesses were displaced by the July 2023 Montpelier flood.

Meredith pays homage to the deep-rooted sacred aspect of tattooing and aims to provide a unique and healing atmosphere for her clients. Beyond tattooing, the studio functions as an art space, healing space, and creative melting pot, serving as a social hub and gathering place for the Central Vermont community. Described as more than just a tattoo shop, Shady Lady has long offered healing, love, joy, and acceptance to its patrons, positioning itself as an integral and beloved fixture of downtown Montpelier's small-business community.
