Naked Art Tattoo has served Odenton, Maryland since 2005, founded by owner and artist Chris Lowe as a true custom tattoo studio rather than a merchandise-driven shop. The collective of artists brings over 40 years of combined experience across all styles of tattooing, with each artist maintaining their own distinct identity and approach. While the focus is on custom, bespoke artwork, clients can also browse a large collection of reference images or bring their own inspiration. The studio was built from the ground up with porcelain floors and stone pillars, creating a warm, clean, and comfortable environment designed specifically for tattooing.
Located across from Fort Meade and the NSA, and midway between Washington, D.C. and Baltimore, the shop is open seven days a week. Its artists frequently travel to tattoo at conventions across the United States and internationally, including South Africa, Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom, Beijing, and London's prestigious tattoo convention. A military discount is offered to active duty personnel, reflecting the owner's own Navy background and family history of service. In 2012, the studio's founder started a charity art show benefiting the Wounded Warrior Project. The shop welcomes patrons from all walks of life and stands against all forms of bigotry.
