The location was first established in 2001 by Charley and Sandy Parsons as Great Southern Tattoo, and High Five Tattoo carries on that 23-year tradition of quality tattooing in a friendly, welcoming environment. The shop offers custom, traditional, and micro tattoos, working from either the client's own designs or original artist designs, with an emphasis on clean, classic, bold work made to last. Beyond tattooing, the studio also provides permanent makeup services, including microblading, combination and ombre brows, eyelash enhancement, lip blush, and faux freckles.

The shop is open Tuesday through Saturday, from noon to 8pm, and welcomes both scheduled appointments and same-day walk-ins based on artist availability, making it approachable for first-timers and seasoned collectors alike. Appointments and consultations are booked directly with individual artists, each of whom maintains their own booking policies.
