Tailwind Tattoo

Tailwind Tattoo is a private, appointment-only tattoo studio in Fargo, North Dakota, run entirely by a husband-and-wife team who work personally with every client from start to finish. Ellie Maher has been tattooing since 2002 and brings an intuitive, feminine, and colorful style to her work, with a particular love for flowers and large-scale, multiple-session pieces where fit, flow, and color theory take center stage. Aaron Maher began tattooing in 2004 and earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration from MSUM in Moorhead, MN in 2005; he favors Japanese-inspired tattoos with his own artistic spin, alongside New School, Illustrative, and Traditional/Neo Traditional work, all built on strong composition, bold color, and craftsmanship.

The studio operates on an appointment-only basis and does not tattoo minors. Prospective clients are asked to email their ideas and reference pictures directly to the artist they'd like to work with, and consultations can be scheduled online for more involved concepts.
