Lost Cowboy Tattoo and Gallery is a private tattoo studio in downtown Santa Fe, New Mexico, run by artist Guido Baldini. Guido opened the shop in April 2013 after years of tattooing in New York City at Sacred Tattoo and Bowery Tattoo, and later working in New Mexico with Dawn Purnell at Dawn's Custom Tattoo and Mark Vigil at Four Star Tattoo. Originally from Castel San Giovanni, Italy, he discovered tattoo art while traveling through London and Amsterdam and went on to open his first shop, Taos Tattoo, in 1994 before eventually settling in Santa Fe in 2007.
The studio specializes in black and grey work, using color only when necessary, and Guido is known for bringing dot work, or pointillism-style shading, into American tattooing since 2012. He focuses primarily on custom tattoos, translating clients' personal ideas into finished designs, and also welcomes walk-ins depending on availability. Alongside tattooing, the gallery sells "Lost Cowboy" apparel, including one-of-a-kind t-shirts, hoodies, jackets, and hats, available in-shop and online. The studio is open Wednesday through Saturday, preferably by appointment.
