Altura Tattoo offers custom tattoo work by Jennifer Billig, who has been tattooing since 1992, starting in New York and New Jersey before moving on to Boulder, Colorado. She traveled extensively as a guest artist at studios and conventions across the US, Europe, and Australia, co-founded Atlas Tattoo in Portland, Oregon in 1998, and worked at Four Star Tattoo in Santa Fe from 2014 to 2022. Her tattooing centers on botanical themes drawn from her background in printmaking and her ongoing interest in the natural world, though she works as a generalist across many styles rather than sticking to one specialty, valuing collaboration and personal connection with clients.

Located in Santa Fe, New Mexico, the studio is built around an environmentally conscious approach to tattooing and a strong commitment to being a safe, comfortable space for all people, with particular attention to welcoming women and non-binary and queer clients. The emphasis throughout is on good communication, outstanding art, and fair prices, with no project considered too big or too small. The studio is currently booking custom tattoo appointments.
