Neon Moon Tattoo is a woman-owned and operated tattoo studio in Reading, Pennsylvania, specializing in animal, pet portrait, and nature tattoos. The private, appointment-only shop is located in the Flying Hills shopping center and operates from a cozy, intimate space designed for close, personal connection with clients. The studio's artist specializes in realism, creating detailed animal and pet portrait tattoos in both color and black and grey that capture personality, emotion, and the bond between people and the animals they love. Beyond pets, the work extends to wildlife, birds, sea creatures, and insects, all inspired by the natural world, alongside nature-themed and other meaningful custom designs in vibrant color and timeless black and grey.
The artist trained under a mentor in Boyertown, Pennsylvania, beginning a tattoo apprenticeship in 2020 with a focus on realism in black and grey and color work, after earning a BA in Fine Arts from Albright College in Reading. The studio officially opened in early 2021, growing out of a desire to build a welcoming space for custom, collaborative tattoo work. In addition to tattooing, the space houses a small art studio offering pet and animal painting sessions on canvas. Clients can book appointments directly online, purchase gift cards, and take advantage of flexible payment options. The shop is closed Sunday and Monday and works by appointment only, reflecting its intimate, client-focused approach to custom tattooing in Berks County.
