California Tattoo Co
13015 Abercorn Street, Savannah, GA 31419
Established in 1976, California Tattoo Co is Savannah's oldest tattoo shop and the longest-running tattoo studio in the southeast. Founded by original owners born and raised in the south, the shop's traditions have been passed down to the next generation and is now run by a Georgia native and military veteran committed to continuing that legacy. Located on Abercorn Street, the studio specializes in custom tattoo artwork and body piercing, offering walk-in visits or appointments by phone throughout the week, including evening hours on most days.
The team's approach centers on client satisfaction, taking time to listen to ideas and consult on the ideal size, placement, and design for each piece. For those without a design in mind, thousands of styles are available to browse for inspiration. The shop operates in a clean, safe, and friendly environment, using new needles and strict procedures to prevent contamination while adhering to local health requirements. Clients also receive detailed aftercare guidance covering bandage removal, washing, ointment application, and healing precautions to help ensure a smooth recovery.
