California Tattoo Company has operated in Savannah, Georgia since 1976, making it the oldest tattoo shop in the city and the longest-running tattoo studio in the southeast. Founded by original owners who were born and raised in the south, the studio has carried its traditions forward to the next generation and is now run by a Georgia native and military veteran committed to continuing that legacy. The shop offers custom tattoo artwork and body piercing, including ear piercing, in a clean, safe, and friendly environment, with a large selection of designs and styles to browse for those still deciding what they want.
The team takes a collaborative approach, listening to clients' ideas and consulting on ideal size, placement, and design before any work begins. Strict procedures are followed to avoid contamination, using new needles and adhering to local health requirements to keep every visit safe. Walk-ins are welcome, and the shop is open seven days a week, from Noon into the evening most nights and later on Fridays and Saturdays. Detailed aftercare guidance is also provided to help clients heal their new tattoos properly, reflecting an emphasis on customer satisfaction from consultation through the entire healing process.
