The shop is owned by Rudy "DOC" Baltier, who trained under Bill Pouge before opening his own studio in Lancaster, California, after making his case directly to the city for a family-oriented tattoo business. Baltier has also served as a committee member for the first annual Antelope Valley Tattoo Expo. Clients are treated as purchasers of custom art rather than just a tattoo, with each artist delivering work with precision and professionalism.
The current team includes Rudy "DOC" Baltier, artist Erwin Domingo, and special guest artist Mario "SCAR" Ponce, bringing together a melting pot of different styles, talents, and personalities. The shop describes itself as more than an incredible tattoo shop, but as a welcoming family of artists dedicated to their craft, rooted in love and a tight-knit ink community. Chimera Body Art is open Monday through Friday from 9am to 7pm and Saturday from 11am to 7pm, closed on Sundays, and welcomes walk-ins and inquiries alike.
