Black Cat Tattoo is a professional tattoo studio in Boise, Idaho, built around all-custom collaborative work alongside a large selection of flash for those who prefer to choose a ready-made design. The shop's mission centers on delivering not just a great tattoo but a great overall experience, with staff who take their time, listen closely, and treat every client with care. The team includes owner Sean Wyett, who has 15 years of tattooing experience and specializes in pin-ups, portraits, and lowbrow art; Erin Ruiz, with 5 years of experience and expertise in surrealism; and Travis Campion, a 7-year veteran known for American Traditional work and symbolism-driven pieces. All three artists are described as skilled across a wide range of styles beyond their specialties.
Consultations are recommended for custom pieces, and clients are encouraged to bring reference images or browse the studio's extensive art library to help develop a one-of-a-kind design tailored to their chosen placement. Equipment is sterilized using steam autoclaves, which are spore-tested monthly to maintain proper safety standards. Walk-ins are welcome, though appointments are preferred, and the studio is open Tuesday through Saturday. Black Cat Tattoo has built a reputation in the Boise area for a clean, professional, and unintimidating atmosphere suited to both seasoned collectors and first-time clients alike.
