Little Tsunami Tattoo has been a fixture in Kapaʻa, Hawaii since opening on October 8, 2006, making it one of Kauaʻi's longest-running and most recommended tattoo shops. Founded with the experience and charisma of artist Acacia, who brought a decade of tattooing experience to the venture, the studio has grown over the years while holding onto the spirit of its earliest days. The shop has since relocated closer to the middle of Kapaʻa town, now housed in a space surrounded by windows overlooking ocean and mountain views, set among the creative energy of the community.
The studio's approach centers on creating a unique, custom tattoo for and with each client rather than duplicating existing designs; references are welcomed only as inspiration, not for exact replication. Clients begin by choosing an artist and messaging them directly with their idea and preferred placement, and those visiting from off-island are asked to share their arrival and departure dates so scheduling can accommodate travel. When needed, an art consultation is arranged ahead of the tattoo appointment itself. The current artist team includes Acacia Jones, Chanel Anderson, and Sabrina Renee, each maintaining their own portfolio within the studio.
