The Burning Eye Tattoo is a custom tattoo studio in Zurich specialising in Modern Traditional, Watercolor, and Graphic tattooing. The studio is built around a philosophy of custom work, encouraging tattooists to develop their own unique, recognisable approach rather than replicating existing designs. Clients are guided through a consultation process before their appointment, where ideas and references are discussed so a one-of-a-kind piece can be designed together with the artist, rather than working from pre-existing tattoo images. The studio's policy strictly avoids copying or continuing another professional's work.

Alongside original custom pieces, cover-ups form a significant part of the daily work, with designs for these developed directly on the body using clean lines and careful planning to give damaged or poorly done tattoos a long-lasting, improved result. Designs are typically finalised on the day of the appointment, allowing artists to adjust and refine ideas with the client present, though some tattooists also work out concepts in advance depending on the project. The studio welcomes walk-ins and is open Monday to Saturday. A follow-up visit after four weeks is offered free of charge to check on healing and touch-ups.
