El Encanto Tattoo
1820 North 15th Street, Tampa, FL 33605
El Encanto Tattoo is a tattoo studio located in the historic Ybor City district of Tampa, Florida, operating out of a landmark building known as "El Encanto." The studio specializes in custom tattoo work spanning black and grey, fine line, and traditional styles, with a roster of resident artists each bringing their own focus to black and grey illustrative and narrative-driven pieces. Walk-ins are welcome, making the shop accessible for both planned custom pieces and spontaneous ink. The studio has been recognized in Tampa Bay's "Best of the Best" awards in the tattoo studio category.
Beyond tattooing, the shop functions as a community hub in Ybor City, hosting anniversary parties, art shows, and vending events featuring live music and local DJs. Its back room has been converted into a gallery and event space available for rent, reflecting a broader commitment to local art beyond just tattooing. The artist lineup includes T. Herrera, known for weaving cultural heritage into black and grey work as a first-generation Mexican artist, alongside Charlie, Kristina, and Kat McGrath, each specializing in black and grey tattooing with an emphasis on client comfort and turning personal stories into lasting, wearable art.
