NEEDLING TATTOO's Mikunigaoka studio is part of a three-location operation spanning Sakai, Osaka's Kyobashi district, and Tokyo's Ueno neighborhood, with eight tattoo artists across all branches. The Mikunigaoka shop sits just a one-minute walk from Mikunigaoka Station's west exit and has female artists on staff working alongside the studio's other resident tattooers, who together cover all design genres. One artist based here specializes in old school and American traditional work while also handling portraits, lettering, and other styles. The studio welcomes walk-in clients for same-day tattooing, though reservations are given priority, and it accepts commissions across every genre rather than focusing on a single specialty.

Since relocating to Mikunigaoka from Kishiwada, the studio has built an international reputation, sending artists to tattoo conventions in Taiwan, Thailand, Hong Kong, and doing guest work in Korea. Its work has been featured in numerous tattoo magazines, showcased at tattoo events, and covered on YouTube, including an appearance on the RIZIN TATTOO NEEDLE channel. The studio has also contributed to film production, with an artist tattooing actors for a nationally released Japanese movie. NEEDLING TATTOO expanded to Kyobashi in 2022 and opened its Ueno location in 2025, reflecting steady growth from its original Sakai base into a multi-city presence.
