Knorpelwerk Tattoo

Knorpelwerk Tattoo is a tattoo studio in the Frohnhausen district of Essen, run by tattoo artist Daniel Czaja. The studio's name references "Knorpelwerk," an ornamental style from the 17th century known for its flowing, cartilage-like forms that resemble the inside of an ear, with intertwining shapes that blend into one another almost indistinguishably. This historical ornament style inspired the studio's identity and reflects its appreciation for intricate, interlocking design work. Beyond tattooing, Daniel Czaja is also active as a painter, sharing his broader artistic work alongside his tattoo designs.
