Imperial Tattoo has been operating in Stockholm since October 2011, opened by owner Johan Losand with the aim of creating a relaxed, private working environment for both clients and tattooers. Located in the Vasastan area, the studio maintains a quiet, comfortable atmosphere and offers a one-on-one service with each client's chosen artist for bookings and consultations. While many clients come in for larger scale pieces, the studio also welcomes smaller tattoos across a variety of styles, all carried out to a high standard of sterilization and teamwork.
Johan Losand has been tattooing since 1994 and specializes in large scale Japanese work, though he is capable of most styles, preparing sketches and freehand drawings ahead of each appointment. Fellow artist Andreas Engblom, tattooing full-time since 2015, focuses on ornamental and mandala designs as well as realistic and figurative work, crafting pieces in tune with each client's vision, with a preference for large scale projects. Both artists work strictly by appointment and also sell original prints and artwork. Visitors are welcome to stop by the studio to view the space and speak with the artists directly.
