Body Tech Tattooing & Piercing has served Gainesville, Florida since 1998, when it was established by Wayne Lessard. The studio describes itself as Gainesville's oldest and most reviewed tattoo and piercing shop, built on a professional, clean, and friendly atmosphere where clients come first. Its artists work across a wide range of styles, including black and gray, portraits, old and new school, full-color, religious, Asian, custom, Americana, watercolor, Neo-Traditional, and realism, as well as cover-ups, and can design one-of-a-kind custom pieces or work from an extensive library of pre-drawn flash.

Beyond tattooing, the studio's certified, licensed, and inspected piercers offer an extensive range of piercings, from lobes and cartilage work to surface and dermal piercings, backed by what it calls the largest selection of body jewelry and plugs in North Central Florida, including titanium, platinum, and 14k and 18k gold pieces from respected jewelry makers. The shop is active in the Gainesville community, offering free condoms and twice-monthly HIV testing through the WellFlorida Council, and supporting causes like Food4Kids, Toys for Tots, and Adopt a Platoon. It has also contributed to shaping Florida's tattoo and piercing legislation.
