Rookstar Tattoo

Rookstar Tattoo has been operating in York since 2010, run by artist Dan Rooke. The studio's philosophy centers on giving each customer exactly what they want, offering a comfortable and relaxing experience built around a genuinely personal approach. Every client receives a free consultation to help decide on design and placement, along with a bespoke design service tailored to their individual vision. Appointments are treated with full focus, and 100% of the artist's time and attention is dedicated to each customer regardless of the size of the tattoo, from the smallest piece to the most detailed work.

Hygiene and safety are treated as paramount, with sterilized equipment and needles never reused between clients. The studio does not offer piercing services or walk-in appointments, and interruptions during appointments are avoided so clients can enjoy an uninterrupted, focused session. This deliberately intimate approach reflects a belief that every client becomes part of a living gallery of work, deserving the same care and attention as any other. For those in York seeking a considered, one-on-one tattoo experience, Rookstar Tattoo offers a dedicated and hygienic environment shaped around the individual.
