JA55 Tattoo is a female-owned, fully licensed and insured private tattoo studio in Kingston upon Hull, run by artist Jaz McDermott. Rather than an open-plan shop, it's a closed-off, private space designed so that women, men and anyone else can feel comfortable and safe getting tattooed, away from the often male-dominated, exposed feel of a typical studio. Jaz specialises in black and grey work, alongside bespoke custom designs built around each client's own ideas, and brings a lifelong passion for art into every piece she creates.

Jaz's interest in tattooing began at just thirteen years old, following early practice with henna, and she has spent years since honing her craft before opening her own studio in Hull. The space is open Monday to Sunday between 8am and 8pm, subject to availability, with flexible hours available on request, though it operates by appointment only with no walk-ins.
