Modern Markings tattoo studio

Modern Markings is a custom tattoo studio in Airdrie, Alberta, led by artist Dominic Kirouac, who has been tattooing professionally since 2016 and has built a loyal following of clients across the region. The studio specializes in black and grey and color realism, illustrative tattoos, large-scale pieces and sleeves, and cover-ups, with every design created specifically for the individual client rather than pulled from flash sheets. Operating out of Sundog Studios, the shop serves Airdrie as well as nearby communities including Calgary, Crossfield, Cochrane, and Balzac.

The approach here centers on collaboration and comfort, with a focus on original, thoughtfully designed artwork over rushed sessions or cookie-cutter work. Prospective clients are invited to book a free consultation to develop their idea before committing to a session, ensuring the final piece reflects their vision. The studio's portfolio, showcasing a range of custom illustrative and realism work, is actively maintained on Instagram, giving visitors a closer look at past projects. For anyone in the Airdrie area seeking a personalized, detail-oriented tattoo experience, Modern Markings offers dedicated, one-on-one artistry from concept through completion.
