Velvet Tattoo Parlor LLC is a tattoo studio in Lake Ronkonkoma, New York, offering premium tattoo and permanent makeup services along with handmade art prints, stickers, and keychains from an online shop. The studio was opened in September 2019 by owner and artist Kristen Sorenson, who officially began her tattooing career in July 2018 and set out to create a comfortable, welcoming space for every client. Kristen doesn't limit herself to one specialty, working confidently across color, black and gray, realism, cover-ups, traditional, and fine line styles, taking on both large and small projects.
Joining her is resident artist Nicole Lynn Cortese, a Long Island native with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in computer art, 3D animation, and visual effects from the School of Visual Arts, who brings a background in fine art and illustration to her growing tattoo career. Together the artists provide a relaxing and supportive environment for clients getting tattooed, alongside cosmetic tattoo services and flash tattoo offerings. The studio is open Monday through Saturday, closed Sundays, and describes itself as a top tattoo destination on Long Island.
