Golden Falcon Tattoo and Piercing has served Chapel Hill, North Carolina for six years, having grown out of its earlier incarnation as Gypsy Hill. The studio was founded by Kimberly, who relocated from the Midwest to build a shop rooted in community, artistic growth, and a strict no-judgment policy welcoming every client. The team works across custom tattoo styles of all kinds, treating every piece, large or small, with equal care and attention. Alongside tattooing, the studio now offers basic piercing services, though these are not available to minors.
Consultations are a central part of the experience here. Staff make time daily to talk through tattoo ideas, even between appointments, and offer secondary consults for larger projects that include photographing the area to be tattooed, sketching rough layout ideas, and gathering style references before the session begins. This unhurried, personalized approach reflects a broader commitment to getting both the design and the client experience right. The studio supports client healing by partnering with two organic aftercare companies, Wicked Fast skincare and King Bee healing balm, both beeswax-based, to ensure tattoos heal as well as possible after leaving the chair.
