It symbolises suffering for knowledge or defiance against authority, and is chosen by people who see themselves as rebels, freethinkers, or endurers of hardship. Some wearers focus instead on the physical anatomy and classical statue style rather than the punishment narrative itself.
Where it sits
This is a tall, narrow vertical composition, making it a strong fit for the spine, the length of a thigh, or a forearm from elbow to wrist. The standing figure with wings extended to each side also has some horizontal spread at shoulder height, so a flat area like the back or the outer thigh will preserve the wingspan better than a curved limb. Shrinking it down would blur the feather detailing and lose the fine linework in the chains and cracked rock base.
