The sun-moon face motif draws on folk art and celestial iconography found in tarot and alchemical imagery, representing balance between opposing forces. People choose it to mark reconciling two parts of themselves or to celebrate a union of opposites.
Where it sits
The radiating spiked rays form a wide circular shape, best suited to flatter areas like the upper back, chest, or a large thigh panel where the full sunburst can spread out. It would also work on the forearm if scaled down, though the outer rays and fine stippling on the moon side would need simplifying. Sizing it too small risks losing the facial detail and the crescent moon and stars tucked near the hairline.
