Where it sits

The tall, twisting vertical composition with the tail curling at the base and the mane rising to a point suits the side of the calf, the forearm, or a full back placement where the elongated shape has room to breathe. Shrinking it down risks losing the fine crosshatching in the mane and the muscle definition in the limbs, so it needs a long, uninterrupted stretch of skin. A thigh piece would also work well given the bent-leg stance mirrors that curve.
