This design shows a traditional guardian angel figure in flowing robes with large feathered wings and a radiant halo, rendered in engraving style, with streams of binary code falling behind it like rain or light. The angel represents protection, guidance and a connection to the divine, a very old and widespread symbol across many faiths. The binary code element introduces a modern reading, suggesting themes of technology, fate encoded as data, or the idea of a guardian watching over digital as well as physical life.

Where it sits

The tall vertical spread of wings and falling code streams suits a full back piece or a long panel down the spine, ribs or thigh where the vertical drop has room to breathe. It could work on a forearm if narrowed, but the wide wingspan and the fine binary text either side would need serious cropping or curling around the arm, losing symmetry. Smaller placements like the calf or upper arm would blur the code entirely and flatten the wing feather detail.

Making it yours

Ask an artist for any of these.

  • Drop the binary code streams for a cleaner classical angel look
  • Add colour to the halo and gold sunburst behind the head
  • Shrink the wingspan and keep the figure more centred and compact
  • Replace binary code with falling feathers or falling stars instead
  • Pair with a scroll, sword or lantern for a guardian theme
