Burning Hearts Tattoo Co. has been operating since 2015, originally in Waterbury, Connecticut, before relocating to Hamden in December 2020. The shop sits at the intersection of Whitney Avenue and Dixwell Avenue, just minutes from Quinnipiac University, Southern Connecticut State University, Yale University, and Albertus Magnus College. The studio operates on a walk-in-welcome basis, though appointments take priority, making it accessible to both spontaneous clients and those planning custom work in advance.
The team includes owner and artist Wes Fortier alongside tattoo artists Mickey and Rick Stanton, a tattoo apprentice, and a dedicated body piercer, offering a range of experience levels and artistic perspectives under one roof. Beyond tattooing, the studio provides professional body piercing services and stocks a wide selection of high-quality, implant-grade body jewelry. Everything is delivered within a clean, upscale, sterile setting, reflecting an emphasis on safety and professionalism alongside creative work. Clients can also arrange gift certificates and browse studio merchandise, rounding out a shop built around both quality craftsmanship and a comfortable client experience in the Hamden community.
