Ludicrous Ink began in 2005 out of a modest shop in Aurora, Oregon, building a reputation for realism and custom tattoo work. Over the years the studio grew and expanded, welcoming different artists while keeping its focus on quality work customized to each client's taste. In July 2022, artist Jonny Shiitake purchased the business, carrying the shop's legacy forward while bringing his own distinct style and skill to its name. Jonny holds a BFA from the School of Visual Arts in New York, where he concentrated on large-scale, hyper-realistic oil portraiture before becoming a certified tattoo artist in Oregon. His work centers on realism along with vibrant, heavily contrasted black and gray and color imagery.
The team also includes artist Savvy, contributing her own tattoos to the shop's growing portfolio. Every quote is based on the size, complexity, and placement of a piece rather than a fixed hourly rate, and consultations and initial quotes are offered free of charge. Clients are also given one complimentary touch-up within a year of their original tattoo, reflecting the shop's ongoing commitment to quality and client satisfaction.
