Rising Dragon Tattoos is a long-established tattoo studio in New York, New York, located on the border of Chelsea and the West Village. With more than 30 years of professional experience, the studio has built its reputation on exceptional artistry, uncompromising cleanliness, and honest, personalized service. Its artists specialize in custom tattoos across a wide range of styles, including Japanese, Realism, American Traditional, Tribal, Black & Grey, Color work, full sleeves, and large-scale back pieces, working with clients from a first small tattoo through complete body projects.
The studio operates out of a private second-floor space, offering a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere away from the distractions of a crowded street-front shop. Clients are guided through every stage of the process, from initial consultation through aftercare, with an emphasis on clear communication, clean linework, smooth shading, and strong composition. The team is known for taking client references and ideas and refining them into custom designs, and for tackling ambitious projects like full sleeves and cover-up work. The overall approach favors a laid-back, welcoming environment focused on producing artwork intended to hold up and look sharp for years to come.
