Latino Tattoo Oulu

Latino Tattoo is a tattoo and piercing studio located on Asemakatu in Oulu, Finland. The studio is run by artist Mauricio Linares, who is originally from Peru and has lived in Finland since 2017, tattooing from his own shop in Oulu since 2018. His tattooing career began more than fifteen years ago in Lima, where he started as a doorman at a tattoo shop at thirteen, became an apprentice at fifteen, and eventually opened his own studio in the city center. Before settling in Oulu, he also ran tattoo shops in Montañita, Ecuador, and Huanchaco, Peru.

The studio's favored style leans toward dark and somber realistic tattoo projects, though work is done across all styles to suit each client's request. Cover-up tattoos make up a significant part of the work produced, alongside piercing services. Listening closely to what each client wants is central to the approach, with designs typically planned together with the customer before the session begins. Appointments at Latino Tattoo are arranged by booking in advance, and new visitors are welcomed to stop by and see the studio's work firsthand.
