Sagebrush Tattoo is a custom tattoo studio in Laramie, Wyoming, established in 2019 and built around high standards of quality, cleanliness, and customer service. The studio aims to give every client a great experience and a piece of art they're proud to wear, whether that's a memorial piece, something sentimental, a cover-up or rework, or an original design. The space is meant to feel welcoming and comfortable for everyone, and clients can bring in their own designs, work with an artist to create something custom, or get help developing an idea from scratch.
Owner Garth Wessel has been tattooing for nearly two decades, starting at age 18 and apprenticing for over ten years under Tony Wilson at Shrunken Head Tattoos in South Dakota before opening this studio. His own style blends realistic, illustrative, and neo-traditional influences, with a particular love of nature-based imagery, alongside color, black & grey, traditional, geometric, painterly, and watercolor work, plus designs inspired by music, vintage objects, and different cultural traditions. The team, which also includes artist Alice Acker, offers a wide range of styles and skills so clients can find an artist suited to their project.
