Nightshade Tattoo is a husband-and-wife-owned shop in Seattle's Queen Anne neighborhood, run as a true mom-and-pop studio built on a shared love of art, music, and timeless design. The work here is rooted in antique-traditional aesthetics, specializing in black and grey, fine line, and bold custom tattoos, with each piece approached intentionally to blend old-school technique with a modern hand. Only tattooing is offered, no piercings, and clients must be at least 18 with valid ID, as Washington state law prohibits tattooing minors even with parental consent. Custom designs are hand-drawn without AI and are typically finalized close to the appointment date rather than shown far in advance, ensuring each piece is tailored to anatomy, placement, and scale. Walk-ins are welcome when available, and the shop maintains a private, respectful environment during sessions, with no photography or recording permitted. The team believes tattoos should feel personal rather than transactional, keeping that spirit central to the studio's approach to craft and community.
