Star City Tattoos
4202 Brambleton Avenue, Roanoke, VA 24018
Star City Tattoos has served the Roanoke, Virginia area since 2000, with the studio itself opening its doors in 2006. Owner and artist Roger LaDouceur keeps his schedule open five days a week, staying booked two to three weeks out and never closing his book to new clients. He works by appointment but takes walk-ins when time allows, and every design is drawn entirely by hand, with clients seeing their custom artwork before the day of their session rather than waiting in the lobby.
The studio specializes in black and gray work alongside a strong passion for color tattooing, plus ornate freehand script for meaningful lettering like a memorial signature. Large-scale custom pieces are a focus, though smaller tattoos are welcome too, and each design is created specifically around the client's own vision rather than pulled from flash. Tattoos are priced by the piece rather than by the hour, and the shop emphasizes direct, honest communication about whether a project is the right fit before work begins.
