Gypsie Soul Tattoo has been part of downtown Salt Lake City, Utah, since 2010, when owner Brandon Mugleston opened the shop after beginning his tattoo apprenticeship in 2001. What started as a private studio grew quickly, prompting a move to its current Salt Lake City location, which Brandon built out largely on his own, from the walls to the furnishings and décor. Over the years the business has expanded into one of the largest tattoo studios in Utah, now operating a second location in Elko, Nevada alongside its original Salt Lake City home.
The studio describes its Salt Lake City and Elko shops as award-winning, and it offers a straightforward path for new clients through an online consultation booking system and a digital release waiver to complete before appointments. Guidance on aftercare is also provided to support clients once their tattoos are finished. The shop maintains an active roster of artists at both locations and welcomes new talent through artist applications, guest artist opportunities, and apprenticeships, reflecting its ongoing growth since first opening its doors more than a decade ago.
