Atlas Tattoo has been serving Portland, Oregon since 1998, and everyone is welcome through its doors. The shop is home to a roster of resident artists, including Dan Gilsdorf, Jerry Ware, Lewis Hess, Mav Mess, Juan Puente, Anna Mack, Adam F., and Tina Platis, each bringing their own individual approach and style to the studio. Appointments can be made directly with an artist by email or phone, with booking policies varying from artist to artist.
Open daily from 11a.m. to 7p.m., the studio also accommodates same-day walk-in and call-in sessions, with a list that opens each morning at 11a.m. on a first-come, first-served basis. Certain artists hold regular walk-in days, such as Dan Gilsdorf from Thursday through Sunday, Anna Mack from Saturday through Tuesday, and Mav Mess on Sundays. Payment arrangements are handled individually by each artist, with some accepting cash only and others accepting cashless payment. With decades of continuous operation in the same North Portland location, this long-running shop remains a fixture of the city's tattoo community.
