Hot Rod Bettie's Tattoo Studio has been a fixture in Salem, Oregon's tattoo scene for over 20 years, established in West Salem in May 2003. The shop's crew brings a combined 40-plus years of experience and is versatile enough to handle just about any tattoo style, including portraiture and cosmetic tattooing, alongside a deep love for traditional, vintage, and retro-inspired work. That affection for pin-up art from the 40s and 50s, especially Bettie Page herself, gives the studio its name and personality, while a shared interest in old cars, restoration, and racing runs through much of the artist roster.
Beyond tattooing, the studio operates a licensed tattoo school founded in 2005 to train the next generation of artists, and in 2010 launched a full-service mobile tattoo facility. All facilities are licensed through the Oregon Health Licensing Agency, and the school is registered through the Oregon Department of Education. Walk-ins are welcome, and the artists' creative reach extends well past the tattoo machine, into fine art, murals, photography, portrait drawing, folk art, and lettering. Despite those varied talents, tattooing remains the shared passion that anchors this fun, positive, and welcoming environment in Salem.
