Blue Byrd Tattoo has been a fixture of Dayton, Ohio for 26 years, offering both custom tattooing and professional body piercing. Founded in 1998 by David M. Klaiber, who combined his nickname "Byrd" with the "blued" tempering process used on his custom tattoo machines, the studio opened its first brick-and-mortar shop in 1999. After growing to multiple locations across the region, the business consolidated back to its Dayton home base, now operating from its landmark Wayne Avenue location purchased in 2007.
