Rice Street Tattoo is a custom tattoo studio located near downtown Carson City, Nevada, founded by local artist Tony Jackson and his partner Lezlee. The shop opened its doors on New Year's Day 2019 with a vision to provide safe, modern, and accessible tattooing, and has since grown into a team of seven artists working across a range of styles including traditional, fine-line, black and grey realism, and new school. Whether for a first tattoo or an addition to an existing collection, the studio emphasizes creating meaningful work in a welcoming and inclusive space.
Community involvement is central to how the shop operates in Carson City. The team runs an annual toy drive with local non-profits, has partnered with organizations such as the Boys and Girls Club of Western Nevada, Carson Tahoe Health, Western Nevada College, and NAMI, and has offered discounted murals to local businesses. A local brewery even created a beer in honor of the shop's founder to support these fundraising efforts. Beyond appointments, the site offers detailed aftercare guidance for clients, reflecting an approach that extends care beyond the tattooing session itself and into the surrounding community.
