Ray's Tattoo is Lincoln, Nebraska's original tattoo studio, established in 1988 in the south Lincoln area and still recognized as the oldest shop in town. The studio is run by two generations of tattooers, a father and son, whose distinct styles and shared laid-back personalities complement the work of another established, talented tattooer on staff, making for strong creative collaborations. Artists here work across black & gray, fine line, watercolor, traditional, and non-traditional styles, and clients can choose a personal artist or get work from the whole team.
The shop keeps things small and personal, following a one-artist/one-client/one-guest process designed to create a calm, comfortable, and enjoyable visit. Free consultations are offered for larger pieces, and artists do their best to accommodate same-day service for smaller designs. Operating by appointment only out of a strip mall location on 13th and Arapahoe with free parking available, the studio emphasizes quality work delivered by experienced artists who genuinely enjoy their craft.
