The studio was founded by Steve Bayman, who had worked in the tattoo industry since 2009 before deciding to open his own shop after settling into Midtown Kansas City in 2011. With help from his wife and sister-in-law, he transformed a building in need of some care into a studio with an old Kansas City feel, comfortable atmosphere, and touches of his German roots woven throughout the space.
Beyond tattooing, the shop includes a spacious attached art gallery that hosts artist-curated shows on a regular basis, giving the location a dual identity as both working studio and community art space. The team includes artists such as Steve Bayman, Lindsey Chevalier, Zach Yates, Tommy Rick, and Kai Pierce, who work with clients booking appointments directly through the shop. Located on the second floor at Gillham Road, the studio blends tattoo artistry with gallery culture in a welcoming, low-pressure environment designed to make every visitor feel at home in Kansas City, Missouri.
