Black Willow Tattoo is a private, appointment-only studio in Fall River, Massachusetts, run by artist Tess Perry. The studio focuses on custom tattoo work alongside cosmetic tattooing and microblading services, giving clients options beyond traditional tattooing under one roof. Because it operates as a private studio rather than a walk-in shop, appointments are booked several months in advance, with the schedule typically opened a few times a year for three to four months at a time.
Every tattoo begins with a consultation, done either by email or in a free 15-to-30-minute in-person meeting, where clients are encouraged to bring visual references, sketches, or photos to help shape their design. Designs are drawn shortly before the scheduled appointment so full attention can go into each piece, with final linework reviewed and approved together with the client on the day of the session. This close, collaborative process reflects a personalized approach to custom tattooing, prioritizing individual attention over volume and giving each client a design created specifically for them.
