Wave n' Pave Tattoo is a family owned and operated mom-and-pop shop in Boston, Massachusetts, creating in the city since 2007. The studio's resident tattoo artist, Carissa Lee, keeps a gallery of her work on display and is always taking on new tattoo commissions for anyone who wants to reach out. Alongside tattooing, the shop describes itself around a "Surf - Skate - Tattoo" identity, reflecting a laid-back, board-culture atmosphere that runs through the whole space rather than a strictly clinical studio feel.
Beyond the tattoo chair, the shop operates as a boutique, with original art, apparel, and accessories created and printed in-house at the Boston location. The team emphasizes a personal, hands-on approach, noting that whether a customer purchases something from the store or gets a tattoo, they'll always end up chatting directly with one of the shop's own people. Their stated mission is to build long-lasting, family-like friendships and creative opportunities through art, culture, and creativity, giving the space a community-driven, welcoming character alongside its tattoo work.
